With hearts transformed, even when drugs are available, with cigars on sale and liquor readily accessible, people will have the power to make the right choice. Transformation happens through one life at a time.

The Purpose of Christian Retreats

The purpose of christian retreat is to encourage every members of the church to develop a closer relationship with God and other people. Some retreat programs are specifically organized for mothers, while some for youth, young pro, etc. While others use key speakers to focus in a specific area in ones life, some would set up fun activities like going outdoors.

Bridging the Gap

In the past years, the market has offered the world numerous gadgets and devices. And within a month or so, new models are released with upgraded specifications and well-designed tools. With lots of new things, people finds it hard to decide which ones to buy – kobo vs kindle, tablet vs laptop, iPhone 4 or 5? If you aren’t techie enough, you will feel definitely feel the gap, most likely feel left behind.

Even before these advances were introduced, there has also been a gap going on in the Bible times. When sin entered the world, the space between man and God became so huge that no one, not even religion, church membership or offering cannot bind the relationship together. God saw this need. His love for people moved Him to send His own Son to die on the cross so everyone can bridge their way back into His presence and love.


Peeking Through Someone’s Soul

If you would notice, every time you great someone or ask them how they are, probably most will answer these two-letter word-“ok” [okay]. Well, are they really? In a cell group, what usually happens after the “ok”? Do you move on and try to keep up on the program-like schedule or do you dig deeper, encourage the person to let their feelings out? The Aspen Tree Principle

Aspen is a common name used for trees that belong to a specific kind of group called section Populus. They usually grow in large units resulting from a single seedling.

You can see the same principle to Christian church. Generally, members of the church originate from one single worker then grow and multiply. As one individual water and feed another with the Word of God, another seed surfaces and the process continues. More seed means more workers. More workers, the larger the unit becomes.
