Getting Back Up From A Credit Slump

King Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, said during his time that “the borrower is servant to the lender” (Proverbs 22:7a). Getting a loan can really be a burden especially when you are not keeping track of the many loans you have and not being responsible for paying back the credit card purchases you make. Getting a credit card is not necessarily wrong, but one has to first learn to manage his or her finances properly to earn the privilege of getting a credit card. The problem is, many times, people who get a credit card enjoy the benefit of being able to buy something even when he or she does not have money but do not feel the urgency to pay it back immediately. That is an irresponsible way of using a credit card. And most of the time those who practice this get addicted to doing it, ending up with more debts to settle.

If you are looking for a way out of debt the first thing you need to do is to tithe. Recognize that everything you have comes from Him and you return ten percent of what is really His. Next is start making a budget and include paying of your debt into it. If the budget is really tight and there are too many bill collectors to talk too, you may even consider, maybe as a last resort, just to help you manage everything into a single responsibility, getting a debt consolidation loan with the deal that you include the regular payments into your budget. The most important thing is you plan paying back the debts you have.
