Christ’s Humility

When Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey, He sat on cloaks that were placed by the people not on english saddles like the equestrians use. When He was born He was born in stinky cave where animals inhabited and He was placed on a manger.
The humility of Christ is shown in these simple instances and as believers, it is important to show the same kind of humility. That kind of humility must be shown in the simple daily decisions we make. Do we communicate humility or arrogance with our actions and the way we deal with people?


Thanks for another great reminder of the humility of Christ and the example it is to us today, right now.
This verse came to my mind.
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. (Philippians 2:6-7)
I think this is one of those passages that can just simply blow you over. It leaves me speechless. Jesus willingly left his eternal throne, his supreme place, and became a man. Think about it. He limited himself in many ways by becoming a human being. To really understand this I am trying to imagine what that must of been like for Jesus.
