Borrowing For Business

Posted on August 16th, 2008 by Pastor Jeff in Uncategorized

We discourage borrowing among friends and family. The best thing to do is to be generous to each other when need arise. But does that mean that getting Business Loans is wrong? Not necessarily.

Most businesses, before they are granted a loan here in our country, depending on the lender, are required to submit a feasibility study and other documents. A Business Loan requires these especially for start up businesses.

A company that gives 100% approval guarantee for Unsecured Business Loans without any upfront fees is AFSLoanOnline.com. This is a good site to visit for those who are thinking about starting a business or looking to expand their business.

Christ’s Humility

Posted on August 16th, 2008 by Pastor Jeff in Daily Living

triumphalentry.jpgWhen Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey, He sat on cloaks that were placed by the people not on english saddles like the equestrians use. When He was born He was born in stinky cave where animals inhabited and He was placed on a manger.

The humility of Christ is shown in these simple instances and as believers, it is important to show the same kind of humility. That kind of humility must be shown in the simple daily decisions we make. Do we communicate humility or arrogance with our actions and the way we deal with people?

Better Safe Than Sorry

Motorcycles are a big hit nowadays. For some young people, the reason why they ride around one is not just because of the gas prices but for mobility and style. That’s why shops for motorcycles accessories and second hand shops for used Harleys or big bikes have boomed.

But young people should be cautious in using one because of the risks entailed. All around the city, more and more accidents are being reported.

We should have the same attitude with regards to sin. It is better to be ridiculously cautious because when we fall, especially when we are in the ministry, we bring down others, too. It is always better to be safe than sorry.

A Day Before the Palawan Missions Trip

Tomorrow, our local team of eleven plus the team from Houston, Texas will be leaving for our Breaking Point Palawan missions trip. Everyone included in the trip are busy with preparations like practicing dramas, running through classroom workshops and preparing the luggage. In fact, I had to purchase my own light weight luggage for this trip because of the many equipment we had to bring to Palawan – we had to keep our personal stuff in our hand carry luggage, and under 10 kilograms.

I could have used the services of ShopWiki.com and could have provided me different brand options before I bought, but it was too late when I found out about them. I saw brands like Travel Pro and Samsonite.

This site is a revolutionary resource for online shopping. They list all online stores on the web, not just those who pay to get their store on their list.

Let Him Calm the Storms

Matthew 8:26 “He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.”

That night Jesus and the disciples were on a boat while there was a0721_jesus_calms_storm_christian_clipart.jpg furious storm which caused waves to be swept over their boat. While all this was happening, Jesus was sleeping like He was riding on one of those Caribbean cruises. The disciples, on the other hand, were so afraid.

It is important to note that many of the disciples were fishermen, so they should have been used to being in storms while fishing. So the storm in this narrative may have been a very furious storm to make the disciples so afraid. But Jesus demonstrated His power over nature calming the disciples fears.

What uncontrollable storms are you going through lately? Learn to call on the Lord for help and let Hi demonstrate his power over your situation.

The Power to Deliver

Posted on August 6th, 2008 by Pastor Jeff in Daily Living, Prayer

Matthew 4:6 “He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”

Are you in a difficult situation right now? Are the solutions to the problems in your life seem impossible?

The salvation that God gives to everyone who believes not only pertains to the eternal. The eternal salvation, which is the most difficult task, that God provides is the proof that He can deliver a believer from anything. The passage above mentions how God can even send His angels to protect believers. I imagine the angels like the pool floats on a child in who is in a swimming pool and doesn’t know how to swim. God’s ability to deliver should never be questioned but instead be claimed when a believer is in need.

Watch What You Watch

remote_tv.jpgWatching movies nowadays, whether in the movie house or in the comforts of your own home using a home theater, can be real entertaining and can be a used as one of the bonding moments with friends and family. But it is important to “watch what you watch”, making the right choice in what kind and type of movie one will be watching. The theme and short description of the movie has to be evaluated first, since one will not be able to know the scenes and the content of script of the movie. Doing this and setting some guidelines on what movies to watch and not to watch can help minimize exposure to evil and filling our minds with things that can be harmful to those watching.

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things.” Philippians 4:8
