He Cares About Every Detail of Your Life

Posted on September 29th, 2008 by Pastor Jeff in Uncategorized

There is nothing so small or insignificant for God about you. Even the things you are so concerned about that sometimes a lot of people find ridiculous, like when you feel down because of acne, are important to God. The Bible says that God knows every detail of your if, even the number of hair on your head. Every concern, every tear, He knows them and cares about them.

Psalm 56:8 “Record my lament; list my tears on your scroll–are they not in your record?”

Need the Ability to Produce Wealth?

In investing in any business or any franchise opportunity, caution is necessary. Financial wisdom is needed. The Bible is full of practical wisdom on how to handle finances and how to deal in business. But it all starts with the proper view of God and acknowledging that it is He who gives us the ability to produce wealth so we must depend on His wisdom rather than on our own.

Deuteronomy 8:18 “But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth.”

Are You In Shape Spiritually?

exercise.gifIt is easy for a believer to fall into the trap of becoming obese spiritually. This happens when a believer listens to a preacher every Sunday, read the Bible during his devotions and study the word of God but never applies it in his life. If there were spiritual diet pills it would be easier to get in shape spiritually but there are none. The only answer is to exercise – to put into practice the principles learned through continuous exposure to God’s word. Are you in shape spiritually or do you need to exercise?

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” James 1:22

Don’t Lose Heart

marathon.jpgEvery believer will someday be rewarded for every good deed they have done. This reward is nothing like receiving promotional items from companies or bonuses from employers. No! They are nothing compared to that. The reward the Bible talks about is something that will last eternally. They may be crowns that someday we’ll lay at the feet of our King or they may be our Master’s approval – when He will say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”

So never grow tired of doing things for God because even though you may feel like you’re getting nothing out of it, God is looking at you and He will reward you someday.

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:9

Upholding Justice

Posted on September 21st, 2008 by Pastor Jeff in Uncategorized

Proverbs 29:7 “The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.”

Those who uphold justice and fight for the poor, like a judge who does not look at a person’s financial standing, or a Mesothelioma lawyer who fights for his client’s right especially when his clients are up against big companies, are looked at by God as practicing doing what is right.

This is something that, as believers, we should be conscious about – fighting for justice for the poor. Sometimes we believers only concern ourselves with a person’s spiritual condition and neglect their immediate needs.

Why not follow our Master’s footsteps who dealt with people’s immediate needs and use the moment to bring out their real need? You can start by being a hero to the people who need your help. It may give you opportunities to share your faith.

A Wife, A Favor From God

Posted on September 21st, 2008 by Pastor Jeff in Uncategorized

This afternoon, I was so glad to have been able to go strolling with my wife and son at Eastwood City. My son and I looked at toys like the rc helicopters on sale and my wife enjoyed taking pictures of our family. Today is actually my wife’s birthday and being such a blessing to me and my son, we just had to spend her birthday with her even. I thank God for Her and I agree about the verse in Proverbs that says, “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.” I have surely found favor from God through her.
