Getting a lot of information about what you are getting into is very practical, wise and is the most logical thing to do. Being a member of a church has that necessity. Embracing a certain belief system also deserves that extensive research especially if that belief system has great claims.
It may be like reading acneticin reviews before following an acne treatment, but hearing testimonies of people from history and up to the present time can be very helpful.
A lot of the Bible is actually written accounts and/or testimonies of eyewitnesses of Jesus who claimed to be God, both directly and indirectly. I suggest that you check out the Bible’s claims before writing it off.
