Learning from Job Experiences

Before following the Lord’s call to be a pastor, I used to work in different jobs. While studying to get a degree in Mechanical Engineering and learning about industrial products I worked in a variety of jobs.

I worked at a children’s play store during weekends and was assigned to help out in the party room where it is fully booked on weekends. I worked as a part time teller for a well known bank. I worked as an encyclopedia sales man, a pedicab driver for one summer and as an office equipment sales person and as a forex trader specialist in Makati.

I have learned a lot of things in those jobs that I tried. I have learned, first and foremost that money or status can not satisfy. I have tried working in a job that payed so low and a high paying job but I was never satisfied with a big income. It was then that I realized that God was calling me to do something else and so I answered a call to be a pastor.

For almost seven years now I have been pastoring a baptist church in Makati and am very happy to be where I am. I know that God has led me here and has a lot of things in store for me, my family and the church family.
