Lavishing Gifts

My son turned five years old last Tuesday and we gave him his gift request. What a joy it is to see the glow and the excitement in his face when he received his gift. A simple celebration (no party for his birth announcements were made) was enough to make him a very happy celebrator.
I just thought that if I, as an earthly father love giving gifts to my son, how much more the heavenly Father. I just can’t get over this revelation and I am now expectant of what God wants for me – not what I want from Him. May this simple experience be a blessing and encouragement to you.
