Wisdom and Finances

Posted on May 16th, 2011 by Pastor Jeff in Uncategorized

Having some sort of financial fall back or security is always wise. That is why people avail of different types of insurance like fire insurance for a property, life insurance and accident insurance. There are other insurance like the ones required by the government that should not be taken for granted. There is a social security disability benefit for those who are eligible and one must maximize this. It helps to be wise in handling finances and that is part of Biblical stewardship.

Successful Ad Campaign?

Posted on February 24th, 2011 by Pastor Jeff in Uncategorized

Belo Men ads are getting more and more visible around Metro Manila and this seems to be a non-stereotypical take on skin care and other health services like stomach weight loss, skin peeling, whitening, etc. Although the utilization of a popular endorser was stereotypical, the use of a man for services where women rule is unique and I personally think that ad campaign will be successful and will draw out men who have been waiting to try skin care.

Preparations for 2011 Camp

It is just a few months before the youth summer camp and I can’t wait to go on an ocular inspection of another camp site. In case we go to the same place again, then I would not need to bring barska binoculars for the trip but will still need to go there to check the changes if there are any in the camp site.

The Biggest Upset in the Suzuki Cup?

Posted on December 8th, 2010 by Pastor Jeff in Uncategorized

Today, great news was upon our country as two goals were scored to conclude the victory of the Philippines against the defending champions, Vietnam, in the AFF Suzuki Cup. That would have been exciting to watch live even to stand afar off but with at least some Nikon binoculars. It would have been cool to see how the two who scored the goal for the Philippines made theirs.

Passage of the Day:09/04/2010

“Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.”
John 4:48

A craving after marvels was a symptom of the sickly state of men’s minds in our Lord’s day; they refused solid nourishment, and pined after mere wonder. The gospel which they so greatly needed they would not have; the miracles which Jesus did not always choose to give they eagerly demanded. Many nowadays must see signs and wonders, or they will not believe. Some have said in their heart, “I must feel deep horror of soul, or I never will believe in Jesus.” But what if you never should feel it, as probably you never may? Will you go to hell out of spite against God, because He will not treat you like another? One has said to himself, “If I had a dream, or if I could feel a sudden shock of I know not what, then I would believe.” Thus you undeserving mortals dream that my Lord is to be dictated to by you! You are beggars at His gate, asking for mercy, and you must needs draw up rules and regulations as to how He shall give that mercy. Think you that He will submit to this? My Master is of a generous spirit, but He has a right royal heart, He spurns all dictation, and maintains His sovereignty of action. Why, dear reader, if such be your case, do you crave for signs and wonders? Is not the gospel its own sign and wonder? Is not this a miracle of miracles, that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him might not perish”? Surely that precious word, “Whosoever will, let him come and take the water of life freely” and that solemn promise, “Him that cometh unto Me, I will in no wise cast out,” are better than signs and wonders! A truthful Saviour ought to be believed. He is truth itself. Why will you ask proof of the veracity of One who cannot lie? The devils themselves declared Him to be the Son of God; will you mistrust Him?

Success is more dependent on a person’s attitude rather than his aptitude. A person may be skilled, competent and have mastery in a particular area but if he or she lacks skill in handling relationships among the company he or she works in, then that person has less possibility to succeed. Guarding Your Weakest Points

Posted on July 10th, 2010 by Pastor Jeff in Uncategorized

One of the more popular judges of Israel was Samson. He grew up with a vow to not let his hair receive any quicktrim and God gave him supernatural strength to help subdue the Philistines. He had struggles when it came to women and that’s what made him fall.

We must remember that the enemy always targets believers in their weakest points. So the more you become useful for God the more you should be on your guard against areas of weaknesses. Be ridiculously cautious.
